This role is intended to manage ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) top affiliate & digital relationships in Russia, Baltics, Ukraine and CIS across all of the VCNI portfolio of channels: Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Paramount Comedy, Paramount Channel, Spike, MTV, as well as managing respective distribution agents. This role will be responsible for negotiating, closing distribution deals with local and regional OTT content providers in multiple markets and providing analytical support for the respective markets in areas such as market analysis, benchmarking competition, deal analysis, partner updates and partner performance. The successful candidate for this position will support all phases of licensing negotiation and deal effectuation across the EST, TVOD, SVOD and AVOD business lines.

VOD Sales Manager will help support ViacomCBS digital Distribution and Networks business across Russia, Baltics, Ukraine and CIS markets. This person will develop and implement strategic initiatives for ViacomCBS digital assets across the region. The manager will support local office with the digital distribution business including reviewing and advising on digital rights and collaborating to grow the digital SVOD/AVOD/TVOD/EST business. This position will support ViacomCBS Pay TV, SVOD, and linear distribution businesses, ViacomCBS digital networks business, and will be responsible for helping to maximize the monetization of ViacomCBS product portfolio. The role is based in Moscow and reports directly to the Sr Director CDM & CP Licensing for Russia, Baltics, Ukraine and CIS.


  • Work to identify, develop, negotiate, and close local and regional business deals across SVOD, EST, TVOD, and AVOD with current / new clients and present opportunities to senior management
  • Enhance distribution and sign new affiliate accounts to expand distribution for ViacomCBS channels/content in Russia, Ukraine and Baltics with focus on global 6: MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy, Paramount Channel, Spike, Nick Jr – both traditional and digital distribution.
  • Manage representation agencies in the regions, work closely with them to assist with queries and ensure delivery of sales targets.
  • Continue deal support from inception to culmination, i.e. deal value analysis, pricing offers/counters, license fee structures, window changes, and additional products to license
  • Prepare sales plans/offers for attracting new accounts in the relevant territories, including developing client target lists and recommended pricing. Analyse offers across a vast range of partners.
  • Prepare materials for the initial pitch meetings with partners as well as any follow up materials to negotiate major distribution deals with linear, MPVD, SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, and other OTT content providers in various regions.
  • Provide analysis and recommendation on the best deal structure for new and existing deals by sourcing the best terms in local deals as well as existing int’l within each peer group: SVOD, AVOD, MVPD, TVOD
  • Oversee account relationship management for a dedicated set of direct accounts.
  • Collaborate internally with Legal, Marketing, Finance, PR and other local and Int’l teams to create strategic cross-functional opportunities, finalize and effectuate deals, and drive revenue maximization
  • Identify opportunities to expand account relationships by selling new channels/content and associated Digital Media products and services. Equally identify overall opportunities for the separate territory development within the region.
  • Conduct research on markets, trends, platforms and competitors, and identify business opportunities with growth potential
  • Identify customers' content needs, rights grants, intended exhibition strategy. Evaluate partner interest inquiries of titles, rights, and windows
  • Monthly report on Russia, Ukraine and Baltics affiliate business performance: tracking against sales targets, cash collection/debt level update, channel activities carried out in the previous month and plans for the next month.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the trade marketing team to prepare marketing plans for key accounts.
  • Support deals execution.
  • Be involved in administration processes as required.
  • Frequent travel to the regions as required by business maintenance and development – at a later stage\


  • Experience in pay TV, OTT/VOD business, also can consider previous content licensing or acquisition businesses experience
